Summary You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES ASSISTANT (OA) in the ADMIN SUPPORT AND I&R ASSISTANT of NAVSUPPACT NAPLES, Italy. Responsibilities You will maintain an updated and detailed information database of programs, services and activities available on installation and in the local community which support and enrich the quality of life for individuals and families. You will operate a computer or word processor to create, edit, print, retrieve, or manipulate documents, charts, spreadsheets, and files. You will determine action required for incoming correspondence to prioritize suspense dates. You will serve as the Government Credit Card Holder and execute purchasing of training, supplies, and equipment. You will prepare, receive, review, and verify documents, maintain records, locate and compile data and information from reports and files, and other clerical duties. You will receive telephone calls, greets visitors, and ascertains the nature of the calls or visits. You will establish appointments in FFSMIS record keeping system. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience may include: 1) Receiving calls, greeting visitors, and responding to routine requests for information to support a fleet and family support program 2) Utilizing office automation software applications to produce and edit documents with complex formats including correspondence, schedules, reports, and a variety of marketing material 3) Creating and maintaining data, files and records for easy retrieval Note: This information must be supported in your resume to be considered for this position. Some walking, standing, bending, climbing stairs, and carrying and/or lifting of lightweight items may be required. Occasionally, the employee is required to make trips to Capodichino. Work Environment: The work is performed in a typical office setting and is usually adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. There may be occasional exposure to emotionally unstable, suspicious, or hostile clients. Special Requirements: A security clearance is required. Candidates must successfully complete a criminal history background check with no adverse information. Occasional travel outside the local commuting area may be required. Incumbent may be required to travel for up to two weeks for the purpose of attending training, conferences, or for the purpose of giving training. May need a valid driver's license to conduct official business in military vehicle or POV. Commute area is defined as the geographic area surrounding the duty location in which people can reasonably be expected to travel back and forth daily.
