Responsibilities You will assist in managing financial tasks, supporting project initiation and execution within a team. You will monitor and analyze funds, ensuring obligations and expenditures align with fiscal law and regulations. You will apply basic financial management principles, including terms, processes, and techniques, to ensure accurate fund control. You will support financial management for Department missions, analyzing budgets, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with DoD and Navy financial policies. You will assist in strategic planning, budgeting, and cost analysis to meet program goals, optimizing resource allocation and forecasting. You will monitor financial performance, identify risks, and recommend adjustments to ensure projects adhere to schedules, budgets, and fiscal regulations. You will analyze and forecast financial data, monitor performance, and recommend improvements to enhance resource allocation and efficiency across Portfolio operations. You will assist in preparing budgets, justifications, and impact statements while ensuring financial compliance with DoD and Navy policies. You will track cost performance, identify potential overruns, and work with project managers to implement financial adjustments and risk mitigation strategies. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications NO-02 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or NO-01 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Maintain AND/OR assist in managing funds, performing financial analysis, monitoring project execution, ensuring compliance with DoD and Navy policies, and supporting financial tasks aligned with organizational goals and regulations. NO-03 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or NO-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Lead AND/OR supervise in financial management, including budgeting, cost analysis, and forecasting, ensuring compliance with DoD policies, supporting project execution, and providing strategic recommendations for program efficiency and resource allocation. NO-04 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or NO-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Manage AND/OR supervise financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, monitor cost performance, ensure compliance with DoD policies, and support program efficiency by recommending improvements and managing financial adjustments. Several vacancies may be filled. Relocation incentives as described in 5 USC 5743 may be authorized in accordance with applicable regulations. PCS is not authorized.
