This posting is for an Administrative Specialist I located in Johnston County.
+ In this position you will perform a variety of office assistant tasks in support of administrative, program, or technical operations.
+ Your duties include typing, filing, copying, answering telephone, and directing calls. Good communication skills are necessary. Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures. Administer payroll/time entry in SAP system; personnel and other office duties such as typing correspondence, filing, and handling of incoming and outgoing mail.
+ You must have knowledge and use of office equipment and related computer technology (Microsoft Windows, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SAP).
+ Process inventory, purchase orders, and accounts payable through SAP.
+ Position includes work during any adverse weather such as snow and/or ice, tornadoes, hurricanes, etc. which can lead to working extended daily hours, weekends, and holidays.
+ Ability to operate a State-owned vehicle preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

+ Experience processing payroll in SAP
+ Customer service experience, including resolving customer issues
+ Experience with Microsoft Office using programs such as Access, Word, and Excel
+ Experience completing and / or maintaining records and reports
+ Experience interpreting and / or explaining policies, procedures, insurance, and laws
Additional Expectations:
A valid Driver's License is preferred.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
