How you will contribute
Valmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the Administrative Support Specialist position at the Claremore Coatings Division. We are looking for a highly driven, bi-lingual individual with excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task. Essential Functions include:
Greet and provide customer service for visitorsOperates telephone console to receive incoming calls; Screens and directs calls to appropriate destinationsRecords complete phone messages and emails to appropriate staff members.Keeps track of staff for the purpose of making/directing callsAccepts packages, documents receipt, notifies department for pickupAP matching; ensuring POs and packing slips and bill of ladings matchProvides translation support for site leadership in both verbal and written communicationsParticipates in new employee orientation as support to the HR Manager with non-English speaking employeesServes as back-up for order entry of shop orders in VCC MaxAlerts plant leadership of expedited orders when requestedTracks certificate of insurance updatesCompletes vendor setup in QAD through shared services and prints quarterly and bi-annual vendor reportsRequest and track new customer credit applicationsMonitors office supply inventory and distributionOpens, date stamps, and distributes mail daily as soon as receivedAlways maintains staff confidentialityMaintains a professional appearanceMaintains a professional and courteous attitudeWhat it takes

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) orOne to three months related experience and/or training or Equivalent combination of education and experienceMust be computer literate with an understanding of the various office operating softwareMust be proficient in Excel and 10 keyLanguage Skills:
