Responsibilities Duties listed are at the full performance level GS-7. Enter and or validate time and attendance records in an automated payroll system. Resolving complex timekeeping issues. Maintaines and monitor inventory and usage of official forms. Review forms to determine if they are up to date and still authorized. Processes daily incoming and out-going mail, including material transmitted electronically. Date, route stamp, and deliver incoming mail; and assemble and mail out-going material. Maintains human resources files and complete training in order to be able to run reports and initiate various actions in the automated personnel system. Provides expert administrative oversight, review, and editing of all written publications and other documents. Manages administrative operations and meetings and transcribes proceedings. For the GS-04:You must possess one (1) full year of general experience at or equivalent to the GS-03 level that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity as indicated by the following examples: Experience working in an office setting which demonstrates skill in applying administrative and clerical procedures; customer service concepts; and communication techniques in a professional environment; experience using office automation to prepare documents, manage files, and maintain records.-OR- Education: Have completed two years of education above the high school level. -OR- Combination of Education and Experience: You may meet qualifications requirement for this position with an equivalent combination of specialized experience and appropriate undergraduate education. Undergraduate level education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position. For the GS-05: You must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 level that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity as indicated by the following examples: Providing administrative support in areas such as preparing and reviewing correspondence, reports, arranging travel, timekeeping, property inventory, interacting with employees and external clients. Experience with maintaining databases, automated systems, and tracking organizational scheduling activities. Performing support work with assistance in the practical and technical aspects of office administration in the following areas: budgeting, personnel administration, data processing, and/or files management. -OR- Education: Have completed a full 4-year course of study above high school. This education was obtained in an accredited business, secretarial, or technical school, junior college, college, or university. -OR- Combination of Education and Experience: You may meet qualifications requirement for this position with an equivalent combination of specialized experience and appropriate undergraduate education. Undergraduate level education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position.
