Summary About the Position: This position is an Administrative Support Assistant, GS-0303-6 working at the Ft. Mifflin Project Office in Philadelphia, PA for the Department of the Army, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The incumbent will provide administrative support services, functions, and assistance in order to support an office. Responsibilities Prepare accident and injury reports within appropriate time limits, in accordance with established methods, assuring that needed information is available. Prepare travel orders and travel vouchers, requisition forms, as needed, in accordance with supply/procurement and travel needs of Office personnel. Maintain records of all timekeeping data such as timesheets, leave reports, overtime requests, and payroll corrections. Utilize different automated systems to maintain and coordinate flow of information between offices, other agency offices and outside vendors or contractors. Work with supervisor/foreman to order fuel and set up for ordering and checks on the payment status. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1.) experience performing clerical and administrative duties (such as receiving calls and visitors, maintaining files, ordering supplies, payment and processing credit card transactions, typing correspondence); AND 2.) using an automated system for tracking utility bills; AND 3.) maintaining daily work orders on facility and equipment maintenance. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Clerical Computer Skills Customer Service (Clerical/Technical) Facilities Reporting and Record-Keeping Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
