Summary You will serve as an Administrative Support Assistant (Office Automation) in the Office of Commanding Officer, Code 100813 of NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY. Responsibilities You will assist in the analysis of situations, solve problems, advise management, and propose policies and procedures. You will guide NRL researchers as they prepare the justification paperwork for exporting NRL technology to non-US citizens and/or outside of the country. You will maintain schedules/calendars and perform data entry and project tracking duties. You will maintain/update the NRL Export Control instructional webpage. You will gather, copy, assemble, and distribute documents in support of Export Control Analyses and inquiries into possible violations of laws Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-01/04) or pay band (NC-01) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties: (1) Composing, typing, copying, and editing correspondence; (2) Preparing and/or process travel, personnel, payroll, procurement and training requests according to regulations and procedure; (3) Applying various automated data processing systems and functions; (4) Operating web-based storage and retrieval systems; (5) Directing external and internal inquiries to the correct expert / personnel; and (6) Effective oral and written communication.
