ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST
Summary You will serve as an Administrative/Technical Specialist in the Strategic Systems Guidance, Navigation, & Control Division (GXP) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This is not a high-grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 ($137,000 in Crane, IN). Responsibilities You will serve as technical expert in a program or technical area. You will serve as a Task Lead for submarine transducers and sensors development and repair activities, primary customers are PMS 4013 and NUWC Newport. You will be required to have strong experience in programmatic oversight, customer interface, managing complex schedules and large contracts, spend plans and be able to maintain overall fiscal accountability of the projects. You will be required to present financial and schedule information to customers and stakeholders on behalf of the branch and division, and brief status updates and defend budgets at Program Review events. You must have experience in undersea submarine sonar transducer applications preferred, specifically Virginia and Ohio Class platforms. You will coordinate production requirements within capacity limits of organic shops as well as private industry, manage inventory of carcass inductions balanced with inventory of new components and contract obligations and ceilings. You must have a comprehensive and intensive practical knowledge of Navy ERP, OM and S business rules and processes and contracts management at all levels. Must be skilled in the use of Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel, and MS Project. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and evaluating program requirements to develop, plan, and execute project schedules, milestones, and deliverables to improve efficiency and execution of program operations for a warfare program. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14. Additional vacancies may be filled by this announcement.
