Responsibilities You will serve as a Logistics Specialist performing a variety of tasks involving the development of logistics products and support for complex state of-the-art electrical equipment, systems, and software. You will be responsible for preparing tasks statements, prioritizing work, managing teams and budgets, and mentoring Junior Logisticians. You will be providing the logistics support required for the installation and maintenance of sonar systems and acoustic sensors, supporting the of test and evaluations of these systems, and the writing and presentation of reports. You will be responsible for the development of logistics planning documents such as Life Cycle Support Plan, Navy Training Systems Plan, Maintenance Plan and Supply Support Plan. You will require in-depth knowledge of the ILS Process, the Defense acquisition process, risk management, and other areas of logistics policy to assigned tasking. You will perform a variety of tasks supporting the research, design and development, and in-service support of US Navy systems. You will require development, integrated logistic support documentation development, acquisition document development, and logistic planning for US Navy SONAR systems. You will require a basic understanding of undersea warfare systems utilized in US Navy surface ship and/or submarine SONAR systems. You will utilize knowledge of the Division's logistics management processes to support Department logistic management efforts on an as-needed basis. You will require knowledge of logistics support necessary for new systems, legacy upgrades, and for supporting fielded systems. You will require knowledge of risk management and the ability to identify, assess, report and mitigate risk. You will be required to lead, coordinate, and manage a functional specialist team to execute tasks, from a tasking and financial standpoint. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 (GS-9/10 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing integrated logistics support services to develop, review, or coordinate development plans for the installation maintenance of sonar systems or acoustic sensors. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree. OR Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree. Additional Information This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-4 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-11 and GS-12.
