What is the opportunity?

RBC Investor & Treasury Services Malaysia is a processing center of operational excellence supporting 10 countries across three geographical time zones.  The country employs a Global Operating Model to maximise efficiencies across times zones and supports a 24/5 operational capability.

You will be responsible to ensure treatment of cash and security instructions received from RBC Investor & Treasury Services’ clients in line with prescribed market, NAV and Treasury deadlines The role is to deliver specific services to external and internal clients with high level of quality, efficiency and fostering a client first mindset.

You will be supporting UK region, working hours would be between 3pm-12am or 4pm – 1am. However, flexibility is required to support business needs.

 What will you do?

Ensure that all allocated corporate/income/tax events and instructions are:processed, validated, and authorized within the required timeframes i.e. key dates and stageshighly in adherence to SLA and operational procedures without exception; and deviations are reported to Senior Administrator/Supervisor/Manager immediatelyEnsure prompt escalation of operational issues that may cause financial or reputational issues to RBC or its clients to Senior Administrator/Supervisor/Manager of the team/departmentEnsure entitlement entries carries the correct valuation in providing accurate Unit Price for NAV calculationProcess receipt of entitlements within agreed service standardsFull adherence to the team’s control functions, including operations/events and End of the Day checklists.Assist with the day to day administrative tasks of investigation/amendment and clearance of reconciling items in ensuring accurate corporate events processing.Ensure that queries raised/assigned to individuals are answered within agreed service standardsReview procedures and processing on a regular basis with advice to Supervisor for process improvements (time saving/cost effectiveness)Respond to all client queries and incoming emails in a timely and effective mannerDevelop and maintain good working relationships with brokers/fund managers/clients/custodiansProvide assistance to the other teams within RBC INVESTOR &TREASURY SERVICES when required to ensure the success of the larger teamActively engaged in cross-training for flexibility within the teamEnsure ongoing productivity by providing back-up relief for staff who are absent or on leave

What do you need to succeed?

Experience in a Global custody or related financial institution.In depth knowledge and experience (2+ years)Good written and verbal communication skillsAbility to use initiativeExcellent attention to detailGood interpersonal skills and networking abilities with sub[1]custodians and internal departmentsAbility to work as part of a team or alone to achieve collectiveGood organisation skills and ability to prioritise workloads to meet tight deadlinesAble to work under pressure
