**Job Summary**
The Administrator, Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. This position is responsible for overseeing clinical and administrative functions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing financial and operational performance. The Administrator collaborates with key stakeholders to drive quality improvement initiatives, maintain fiscal responsibility, and align ASC operations with organizational objectives.
**Essential Functions**
+ Organizes and facilitates Governing Board meetings, implementing board policies and directives.
+ Leads long- and short-term planning to align with the ASC’s mission, goals, and strategic objectives.
+ Oversees quality improvement initiatives, ensuring integration with overall management functions and adherence to patient safety standards.
+ Manages financial performance, including budgeting, resource allocation, and cost control, to ensure operational sustainability.
+ Directs procurement, maintenance, and distribution of equipment, materials, and supplies to support efficient operations.
+ Oversees medical staff credentialing, working in collaboration with the Medical Director to maintain compliance with bylaws and regulatory requirements.
+ Manages contracts for direct and outsourced services (e.g., laboratory, radiology, pharmacy) while ensuring adherence to CMS and insurance agreements.
+ Develops and executes marketing strategies that align with ASC objectives and enhance service visibility.
+ Oversees recruitment, training, and performance management to ensure a qualified and effective workforce.
+ Ensures compliance with all federal and state regulations, including HIPAA, while safeguarding patient and staff confidentiality.
+ Implements and monitors quality improvement programs, including peer review, risk management, infection control, and CMS quality measures.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
+ Complies with all policies and standards.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, Management, or related field required
+ Master's Degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, Management, or related field preferred
+ 7-9 years of experience in management/administration in an ambulatory surgery or hospital setting required
+ 7-9 years of demonstrated experience with ambulatory surgery issues required
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
+ Extensive knowledge of ambulatory surgery center operations, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards, including CMS, AAAHC, Joint Commission, and HIPAA.
+ Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage staff.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
+ Proficiency in healthcare management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and financial management systems.
+ In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation requirements, and industry best practices.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex, sensitive issues.
**Licenses and Certifications**
+ RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure preferred
