Administrator - Chaplaincy

Position Overview
This post provides administration support to the Chaplaincy Department in HMS Raleigh. Responsible for the delivery of day-to-day support to the Chaplaincy while providing a professional administration, secretarial, audio typing and word processing services to a separate discreet business area.
Main Duties
Act as the focal point for all administration services, promoting best practice, and delivering the contracted requirement to the appropriate quality standard. Co-ordinate and greet all visitors, arranging entry into the establishment/escorting visitors as necessary. Liaise with appropriate Establishment Training Schools to coordinate and publish training plans and classroom allocations. To act as Building Custodian for the Chaplaincy business area. Ensure all activities are carried out in full compliance with current Health and Safety Regulations and the General Data Protection Regulations.Undertake any additional tasks as determined by the Line Manager, including support/cover for other Administrators when required

The successful candidate will be well-organised, precise, confident with credible communication skills readily able and willing to contribute at all levels. In addition, the individual will ned to be versatile, intuitive, and professional with good judgement and absolute integrity and discretion. Pro-active and persuasive when required and responsive to changing needs of the business and demands of the customer, while remaining calm under pressure and self-motivated, the incumbent will be reliable and well presented, giving a positive image of MITIE company values. In addition, the following is needed.
Proven track record of delivering quality administration and service with customer facing experience. Persuasive and credible verbal and written communicator with the ability to develop close working relationships. Sound administrative experience with good organisational and motivational skills and a high degree of integrity. IT literate with a good working knowledge of MS Office applications. Audio typing skills – minimum 45 wpm with greater accuracy than 90%. Good standard of education.
Additional Information
MOD security clearance and DBS Standard required. To meet national security vetting requirements, you will normally need to have been resident in the UK for at least 3 years to gain a Counter Terrorist Check, 5 years for Security Clearance and 10 years for Developed Vetting prior to the date of application. All Developed Vetted posts are required to be UK Nationals.

The Contract operates a 37.5 hour working week between the hours of 0730 and 1700 Mon to Fri only. The current working hours allow for an early finish on a Friday.
