The role

Our Teams are friendly, welcoming and will support you in training to undertake a wide range of duties for departments across LCC.  Being fully integrated into every team, Business Support Assistants often become subject matter experts in the areas they support, developing and supporting best practice. You really can make a difference.

Schools support does require individuals who can be flexible with their working hours and able to support afternoon and evening meetings.

What we're looking for

We need a team player, with drive and determination. You'll also have a flexible, can-do positive attitude and a real desire to provide exceptional service.

The role is predominantly working from home. A team meeting is held once per month in the office. You will be expected to travel to various schools across Lincolnshire to attend and clerk school governor meetings. School meetings are a mix of virtual and in person. The working hours and start times are flexible as long as you complete your 30 hours and commitments and deadlines are met. Your work days will be Monday - Thursday, some evening work is required to attend school meetings. Flexi time is available to be accrued during especially busy periods in September and May and taken when schools are closed. Annual leave is available to be taken at any time when schools are on holiday, as these are quieter times, which we use for planning and training. Most of your time working at home will be planning, general admin and writing up the minutes of the governor meetings you attend. Travel expenses are paid for all site visits. Full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.

If this sounds like the place for you, we’d love to hear from you and are happy to chat through your current experience or answer questions. Please email RecruitmentBS@lincolnshire.gov.uk

What we offer

In addition to a competitive salary and local government pension scheme, we have a wealth of benefits to be enjoyed by you! These include a generous holiday entitlement starting at 25 days plus bank holidays (and the chance to buy an additional 5 days), flexible working hours, access to many staff discounts and a first class health and wellbeing package.
