Location: Farmingdale, NY Category: Professional Posted On: Thu Dec 19 2024 Job Description: The Office of Admissions is seeking an Admissions Advisor to join FSC's Admissions team. This is a full-time position and requires an energetic, self-motivated individual to work both independently and as part of our team. The Admissions Advisor will be responsible for application review and student recruitment primarily on Long Island and throughout the tri-state area. Evenings, weekends, and overnight travel throughout NY State and surrounding area is required. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: + Review admissions applications to select admissions programs. Track applicant status, communication with applicants and departments, uphold program standards, and enrollment targets. + Schedule and conduct school visits in assigned territory working directly with students, parents, school counselors and community-based organizations. + Participate in recruitment events on and off campus- evening and weekend hours are required. + Present information about FSC to large audiences on topics ranging from general campus information to specialized academic programs. + Organize large scale on campus enrollment and yield events. + Meet with students and parents for admissions appointments facilitating the application process. + Support prospective students, families, colleagues and campus partners with Admissions related requests. + Answer phone calls during peak times and provide accurate information while demonstrating excellent customer service skills. + Respond to voice mails and emails expeditiously. Job Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: + Bachelor's Degree. + Candidates must have the ability to communicate effectively, have exceptional presentation skills and experience, and desire to work in a fast-paced, goal-oriented office. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: + 3 or more years of experience working in an admissions office in a professional capacity. + Experience with a Student Information System and Technolutions Slate. + Knowledge of current enrollment trends and student recruitment. + Familiar with current trends in Higher Education and recruitment territory management. + Master's degree in a relevant field. + Bilingual Spanish speaker. + Graduate of Farmingdale State College. Additional Information: This is a full-time UUP position. + For the first 10 working days, beginning Thursday, December 19, 2024, and ending Friday, January 3, 2025, applications will be limited to UUP Farmingdale. + CLOSING DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS: Open Until Filled + SALARY: $55,151 + $3,400 in downstate location pay = $58,551 Total Compensation.
