Admissions Advisor (aHEO) **POSITION DETAILS** Reporting to the Associate Director of Admissions, the Admissions Advisor will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: • Counsels prospective applicants on Queens College requirements and standards and provides general information on programs and services in person or by telephone, e-mail, or virtually; conducts follow up as needed • Conducts information sessions for prospective students who visit QC and sometimes asked to conduct tours of the QC campus. • Reviews admissions applications and makes admissions decisions for both freshman and transfer applicants. • Assists in planning and conducting open house and accepted student events. • Represents QC Admissions at local high schools, at off campus recruitment events, and at various events on campus. • Maintains and updates CUNYFirst account and performs admissions-related duties within CUNYFirst • Performs related duties as assigned. • Some evenings and weekend hours required **QUALIFICATIONS** Bachelor's Degree required. Preferred Qualifications + 1-year previous admission or higher education experience + Experience recruiting + Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills + Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Hobson's Connect or other enrollment management CRM + Valid driver’s license with automobile access **CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW** Coordinates efforts of admissions and/or enrollment offices. - Coordinates workshops, intake screenings, interviews and orientations for new students - Counsels prospective applicants on requirements and standards and provides general information on programs and services in person or by telephone, e-mail or letter; conducts follow up as needed - Assists in conducting open house sessions and orientations, including group sessions and programs at high schools and in the community at large - Assists with day-to-day administration and an admissions or enrollment office, including scheduling and preparing and distributing materials - Represents the Admission Office to the college's internal and external communities as directed - Maintains and updates program databases, lists and files to ensure completeness and accuracy - Performs related duties as assigned.
