DUTIES:

Coordinating the resident referral and approval process in an efficient mannerEstablishing & maintaining relationships with local hospitals, physicians & community organizations for the purpose of generating consistent admissions to the facilityUnderstand the admissions process including policy, procedures, assessments & paperwork requirementsSupport the facility's PR to generate a positive image & encourage word-of-mouth referralsMaintain knowledge of regulations governing Medicare/Medicaid/Managed Care reimbursement processesCommunicate special needs of new admissions to staff to ensure a smooth transitionProvide appointments for facility presentations and on-site toursObtain and update authorizations

REQUIREMENTS:

Prior experience as post-acute and long-term care Admissions Coordinator preferredAbility to work independently and with a teamExperience in community relations preferredBe self-driven with excellent internal sales/marketing skillsAbility to implement the process to achieve desired outcomesPossess communication, time management, and organizational skillsSolid computer skills; working knowledge of MS Office
