Admissions Coordinator (aHEO) - 400088 **POSITION DETAILS** Reporting to the Director of Recruitment or designee, Kingsborough Community College seeks a dynamic and student-centered Admissions Counselor to join our team. This position plays a key role in recruiting prospective students and supporting them through every stage of the admissions and enrollment process. The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish, passionate about access to higher education, and comfortable engaging with diverse communities both in person and virtually. - Represent Kingsborough Community College at on- and off-campus recruitment events, including high school fairs, transfer fairs, community-based organizations (CBOs), and other community events. - Present engaging and informative admissions workshops and Q&A sessions for students and parents, in both English and Spanish. - Use Slate CRM to track, engage, and support prospective and admitted students through the recruitment funnel. - Develop and implement an outreach plan using phone, email, text, and social media to guide students through the admissions process. - Maintain in-depth knowledge of KCC’s academic programs, support services, and student opportunities, and communicate this clearly to prospective students and families. - Conduct virtual and in-person admissions information sessions and provide admissions counseling services to visitors at the Admissions Information Center. - Assist with planning and execution of on-campus recruitment and conversion events. - Work evening and weekend hours as needed. **QUALIFICATIONS** Bachelor's Degree required. **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** - Fluency in Spanish and English (speaking, reading, and writing) - Demonstrated ability to manage and convert prospective student inquiries through consistent and strategic follow-up. - Exceptional communication skills, including public speaking and written communication - Exemplary customer service skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. - Experience with social media strategy and creating digital content for student engagement - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.) - The aptitude for learning new systems and adapting to new technology quickly is highly desirable. - Cultural competency and experience providing services to a diverse student body in a higher education setting. - Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities - Ability to work independently, take the initiative, and be a proactive member of the admissions team. - Valid driver’s license strongly preferred **CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW** Coordinates efforts of admissions and/or enrollment offices. - Coordinates workshops, intake screenings, interviews and orientations for new students - Counsels prospective applicants on requirements and standards and provides general information on programs and services in person or by telephone, e-mail or letter; conducts follow up as needed - Assists in conducting open house sessions and orientations, including group sessions and programs at high schools and in the community at large - Assists with day-to-day administration and an admissions or enrollment office, including scheduling and preparing and distributing materials - Represents the Admission Office to the college's internal and external communities as directed - Maintains and updates program databases, lists and files to ensure completeness and accuracy - Performs related duties as assigned.
