** *General Summary * The Admissions Outreach Lead will function as a local traveling admissions representative and employer outreach role that is responsible for attending events and visiting employer partners on behalf of the University, maintaining and creating relationships with points of contact at various employer partners, generating inquiries from events, and helping students take advantage of their tuition assistance programs with their employer through the admissions and orientation process. *Principal Duties & Responsibilities* * Develop events and opportunities to represent AIU to discuss University offerings with prospective students at various employer partners in the community * Discover, maintain and improve relationships with existing AIU employer partners * Work with the existing Education Alliance team and Campus Staff to improve the student experience through the enrollment process * Responsible for developing, managing and meeting action plans in order to obtain personal and departmental student population objectives * Evaluate monthly activity against standards and personal inquiry goals * Professionally assists prospective students through the admissions process in accordance with all applicable federal and state regulations, school policies and procedures, and in compliance with all accrediting standards and requirements and focusing on helping student minimize Title IV loans * Conduct telephone and on-campus interviews/tours and e-mail correspondence to identify student prospects to determine their educational needs, concerns and interests * Develop a rapport with prospective students and maintain contact with them frequently * Partners with departments outside of Admissions including Financial Aid, Academics and Advising to ensure the delivery of a high level of service to every student including degree programs * Track success of marketing opportunities and adjust quarterly in order to drive effectiveness * Promote webinars, workshops and campus events offered by AIU * Discover communication vehicles within employer partners and tap into those avenues in order to promote AIU, e.g. newsletters, intranets sites, closed loop TV, etc. * Explore branch office locations for assigned accounts and discover additional points of contact for locations * Maintain knowledge of business developments within assigned accounts that may offer potential for new business opportunities for AIU, e.g. merger or acquisition, major new business launch, etc. * Maintain Salesforce database with accurate information pertaining to assigned accounts *Other Duties as Assigned or Requested* * Other Duties as Assigned ** *Education and Experience: /Minimum/* * High School Diploma * 5 years’ experience in customer service and/or sales *Education and Experience: /Preferred/* * Bachelor’s Degree * Previous admissions experience * Prior business development experience *Knowledge, Skills and Abilities, Competencies* * Computer skills – Microsoft Office * Possesses excellent communication skills, including telephonic, in-person and written communication methods * Ability to build relationships of trust with students, corporations, employer site managers, etc. * Must have a working knowledge of college admissions and financial aid processes * Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities on a consistent basis * Ability to independently create and execute a weekly strategy for outreach and site visits *Scope of Responsibility* People Management Responsibility Does this role supervise/manage other employees?*Yes* *Other Scope Factors (number of schools, geographic areas, number of students, etc.)* One campus, Atlanta metro area, 40-70 students per year *Impact (Impact of Actions/Decisions)* This position has the responsibility of developing and executing a new admissions outreach strategy. The successful person in this position will create a new and diverse student body on Campus and will positively impact student population, retention and revenue.
