Faculty Rank or Job Title Admissions Recruiter Job Category: Administrative (exempt/non-exempt) Department Undergraduate Admissions EEO number: 25P104 Position FTE 100% Minimum Annual or Hourly Rate $43,888 Salary Band: S03 Job Summary/Basic Function: Reporting directly to the Associate Director of Recruitment and Visits as an integral member of the Undergraduate Admissions Recruitment team, the Admission Recruiter provides support to increase applications and enrollment by planning and conducting extensive recruiting activities at designated secondary schools and college fairs; planning and coordinating high school visits and attending college fairs within an assigned geographic travel territory; interacting with school counselors, students and family members; continuing communication with prospective students via direct mail, phone and e-mail; conducting daily / Saturday Admission information sessions and campus tours as needed with prospective students and family members. The Admission Recruiter will work closely with high school counselors to build strong relationships, expanding and supporting the work to create a college going culture, and providing direct support to prospective students. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (conferred by date of hire) 1-3 years of work experience in Marketing/Sales/Enrollment Management/Education/Customer Service, one of those years working with college or high school students and can include pertinent experience earned prior to bachelors degree completion. Experience working with diverse populations, strong interpersonal, public speaking and organizational skills. Computer skills. Valid Driver’s License. Preferred Qualifications Some work experience at a college or university. Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM). Essential Functions and percent of time: Represent Wright State in the community. (40%) Visit high schools and represent Wright State at College day/night programs and other community events including some evenings / weekends. Manage recruitment territory. Establish and maintain positive relationships with school counselors and other appropriate staff in high schools. Engage with prospective students. (30%) Provide admission counseling to prospective students. Correspond with prospective students via letters, telephone calls, email, texting and face to face appointments. Conduct presentations. Coordinate recruitment activities or programs as assigned. (10%) Respond to requests for information from prospective students, parents and others. (10%) Perform other duties as assigned. (10%) Essential Functions and percent of time (cont'd): Non-Essential Functions and percent of time: Working Conditions Climate controlled office environment with high volume of customer service traffic. Requires extensive evening and weekend hours. Reliable transportation is required due travel. Driver’s License required. Must meet University requirements to drive a university vehicle.
