The Pre-Admission RN assesses all IHI hospital and clinic scheduled procedures and visits and applies guidelines as established by the hospital and outside payer agencies to facilitate payment and appropriate use of ministry resources. The position is responsible for patient pre-certification according to departmental and interdepartmental policies and procedures while adhering to the patient focused admission process. The Pre-Admission RN demonstrates job related skills in a safe, appropriate, effective and timely manner. Prevents and controls infection by appropriate use of universal precautions to reduce risk and prevent adverse outcome. Promotes a safe environment of care, to reduce risks and maintain safety in the work area by observing, reporting and responding to safety issues.

Required Qualifications: 

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Montana Registered Nurse License upon hire. National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire. Hospital Hospitality skills in any service field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Cardiology and pre-admissions.
