PRN staff are required to pick up at least 4 shifts per month if needed.
Key Responsibilities:
· Facilitate admissions and assessment processes, ensuring a seamless transition for incoming patients.
· Respond to inquiries about our facility in a timely manner, providing accurate and helpful information.
· Schedule and conduct pre-admission assessments, communicating recommendations to patients and their families.
· Collaborate with medical and psychiatric personnel to ensure appropriate recommendations and admissions.
· Coordinate admissions and transfers between levels of care, maintaining continuity of care for our patients.
· Communicate projected admissions promptly to designated internal representatives.
· Perform insurance benefit verifications and share relevant information with patients, families, and facility staff.
· Obtain required medical admission documentation prior to patient admission and secure pre-authorization for treatment.
· Assist therapists with concurrent reviews to ensure continued treatment and advocate for patients with insurance companies.
· Coordinate and facilitate peer-to-peer reviews as necessary, working closely with the treatment team.
· Provide ongoing assessment of patient status throughout the admissions process.
· Communicate treatment recommendations to other teams for comprehensive and coordinated care.
· Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude towards customers, prioritizing patient safety and addressing concerns promptly.
· Conduct safety checks and ensure appropriate supervision based on individualized guidelines.

Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science, Social Services Field, or a related discipline required. Alternatively, may require registration as a nurse, in which case, an Associate's degree in nursing or successful completion of an LPN or LVN training program may be the minimum requirement.
· For states where therapists may act in this role, a master's degree in a therapeutic field is preferred.
· One or more years of experience working with individuals in a clinical or observational capacity within the relevant area of specialty for the facility is preferred.
Licenses/Designations/Certifications:
· Licensure in the area of clinical specialty as designated by the state in which the facility operates, as preferred.
· CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by the facility).
· First aid certification may be required based on state or facility requirements.
