The Assistant Director for Transfer Services at Baruch College plays a pivotal role in enhancing the transfer student experience from inquiry through enrollment. This dynamic position involves providing personalized guidance to prospective transfer students, conducting transfer credit evaluations, and fostering relationships with partner institutions to streamline the admissions process. The ideal candidate will collaborate across departments to implement innovative strategies that support transfer student success and contribute to institutional goals for retention and graduation. This position reports to the Associate Director of Admissions. Duties include but are not limited to: + Ensure adherence to best practices for processing transfer student enrollments to enhance efficiency and student satisfaction. + Oversee the training and development of Admissions staff on transfer student processes to ensure consistency and excellence. + Represent and promote Baruch College to prospective students at on-campus and off-campus recruitment events. + Contribute to the planning and execution of innovative recruitment strategies to meet institutional enrollment goals. + Supervise the application review process for transfer students, ensuring accurate and timely decisions. + Collaborate with key campus partners, including New Student Programs, the Office of Testing and Evaluation, the Center for Academic Advisement, and the Registrar's Office, to facilitate a seamless transition from admission to enrollment. + Assist the CUNYfirst production team to maintain and optimize the automated Transfer Credit systems. + Manage and update equivalency rules in the CUNYfirst transfer credit evaluation system to ensure accurate credit recognition. + Partner with the transfer evaluation team to develop and implement improved business practices and workflows for the transfer credit process. + Conduct transfer credit evaluations and work closely with the Registrar's Office to address integration issues across CUNY systems, including CUNYfirst and Degree Works. **QUALIFICATIONS** Minimum Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree and four years’ related experience required. + **Must be a current CUNY employee** Preferred Qualifications: + Previous professional experience working with students in an admissions or enrollment management setting. + Proficiency in student information systems such as CUNYfirst, Degree Works, and FACTS, with experience managing transfer credit evaluations. + Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse student populations and institutional stakeholders. + Demonstrated ability to analyze and improve business processes, with a focus on enhancing the student experience. + Evening and weekend availability + Driver's License strongly preferred. **CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW** Supervises activities in an operational unit supporting Admissions and/or Enrollment. - Oversees staff activities; plans and monitors employee scheduling and coverage and coordinates training - Serves as liaison to one or more departments providing student support services, such as Financial Aid - Coordinates selection process activities such as applications review, verification of information, and timely forwarding of data to other CUNY areas - Coordinates mailings and other communications - Monitors activity and reports on both transactions and outcomes - Completes projects to improve services and enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness - Performs related duties as assigned.
