Fairview Range is hiring an Admitting Clerk for our Admitting department in Hibbing, MN. As an admitting clerk, your role will be pivotal in delivering outstanding patient experiences. As an integral part of the Admitting team, you will register non-scheduled patients, activate pre-registered patients, and accurately collect and record crucial information to complete the access process. Schedule: This position will work 40 to 68 hours per two weeks. The shift length will be 8-hours on the Day, Evening, and Night shift. As an admitting clerk, you will be responsible for: Appropriately and accurately collecting and entering required information for all access patients. Fully knowledgeable of, and conducts all activities in accordance with Regulatory Compliance, including but not limited to such issues as Medicare Secondary Payer Screening, EMTALA, 3-Day DRG Bundling, Medical Necessity; and internal Code of Conduct requirements. Fully knowledgeable of, and conducts all activities in accordance with confidentiality and HIPAA requirements. Functioning as a relief communications operator. Understands all alarms and codes. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Previous customer service experience Must be proficient in computer use. Good interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Well organized, detail oriented.
