Learn more at HonorHealth.com. Responsibilities Job Summary Serves as a working operations lead for staff. Acts as a resource for information regarding ADT system, Medicaid, self-pay accounts, and Insurance benefits. Serves as a liaison between the Patient Access representatives, Supervisors and Directors. Serves as a subject matter expert with the patient access processes in the ADT system and any other systems utilized by Patient Access personnel; performs all tasks needed to meet department operation requirements and goals. Participates in identifying needs for process improvements and creating/enhancing processes in the revenue cycle. Maintains ongoing department training program in conjunction with Patient Access Supervisor and trainers. Oversees the shift-to-shift responsibilities of the registration staff. Prepares the Department schedule, accepts sick calls as needed and modifies the schedule accordingly. Serves as a resource for employees in regards to all pertinent software applications. Covers any areas in the Admitting Department to assure throughput by completing the necessary tasks. Completes reports as assigned. Assists with the training of department employees, collaborates with the Market trainers to assure ongoing training within the department. Performs registrations in order to stay current on system requirements and ease of use. Stays current with knowledge for HIPAA, Federal regulations, state regulations, hospital policy and reimbursement criteria. Attends departmental meetings in order to enhance communications within departments. Attends payer in-services (as assigned) and departmental meetings in order to enhance communications and public relation skills. Participates in process improvement activities. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED Required Experience 2 years registration/financial counseling/patient account collections or equivalent with an emphasis on customer service Required
