To assist in providing leadership in all selling activities within the hotel, working closely with the Rooms, Food and Beverage and other revenue-generating departments to maximise sales through the activities of the Events Sales Department and other associates.To develop, implement, maximise, monitor and evaluate the hotel’s Sales Strategy (goals, tactics and actions) to achieve and exceed forecasted revenue figures in Rooms, Food and Beverage, and all other revenue generating departments.Actively courts and develops sales and marketing activities with key industry partners such as travel agencies, convention organisers.Pre-qualifies and targets Key Accounts, utilising the Envision Sales Catering database and develops appropriate and effective sales solicitation strategies to increase hotel’s market share.Ensures a high level of exposure for hotel through direct sales solicitation of telephone contact and written communications.Professionally conducts routine telemarketing activities to identify new accounts.Conducts regular Market Surveys and Competitor Researches.Consults newspapers, trade journals, and other publications to learn about conventions and social functions.Directs Sales associates engaged in preparing promotional correspondence with travel bureaus, business and social groups.Confers with Department Heads to discuss and formulate plans for soliciting business.Contacts executives of organisations to explain services and facilities offered by hotel and to solicit their business.Ensures services provided by the department are always
