Salary: $36,155 Pay Grade: GS06 Requisition: 43626 Location: Division of Arkansas Tourism, Little Rock Closing date: Until Filled Job Duties: This position serves as support on the development, implementation, and management of social media strategies across Arkansas Tourism and Arkansas State Parks platforms. Position will monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely manner. Also responsible for tracking and analyzing social media metrics (engagement, reach, etc.) to optimize campaigns. Position is expected to stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, platform updates, and best practices, reports to the marketing manager and will collaborate with marketing, design, and content teams to ensure brand consistency. Additionally, they will assist in the planning and execution of social media campaigns and promotions. Position will coordinate on all influencer partnerships and will be expected to manage the influencer experience and itinerary. Applicants must meet or exceed the following qualifications: Education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in communications, general business, or related field; plus, three years of experience in a specialized or related field applicable to work performed. Position Information Class Code: P034C Grade: GS06 FLSA Status: EXEMPT Salary Range: $36,155.00 - $57,668.00 Summary The Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism (ADPT) Consultant is responsible for promoting tourism development and enterprise in Arkansas. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy. Functions Promotes the state's tourism industry by establishing and maintaining relationships with communities, organizations, and government agencies. Serves as consultant to communities and counties on issues pertaining to festival development, group and international travel, and tourism development programs. Assists in seeking, identifying, processing, and fulfilling requests and leads to tourism suppliers. Attends tradeshows, domestic and international marketplaces, and regional/national meetings as official department representative. Attends informational sessions to maintain knowledge of current and future issues that relate to group and international tourism efforts. Assists with the development and updating of meeting planner directories and websites. Assists in planning and hosting familiarization tours and statewide conferences. Assists in the administration of statewide grant programs. Performs other duties as assigned. Dimensions Occasional in and out-of-state travel is required.
