Job Description Summary:
The Adult Basic Education adjunct faculty reports to the Adult Basic Education Program Director and is responsible for creating a classroom environment that develops in each student the reading, analytical and critical thinking, writing, and math skills that are fundamental to life and work, and in preparing for the GED® exam.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree
+ Minimum 2 years of adult education teaching or tutoring experience strongly preferred
+ Master’s degree and/or teaching certification preferred
Job Requirements:
+ Work schedules are available for mornings, evenings, and saturdays. Work schedule subject to change based on the needs of the department.
+ Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written standard English.
+ As required by the 1986 Immigration Act, be prepared to present acceptable documentation showing your identity and that you are a U.S. citizen or an alien who is authorized to work.
