Job SummaryWilberforce University is seeking a results-driven Adult Degree Program Recruiter with exceptional interpersonal skills, a deep commitment to the university’s mission, and a strong understanding of the needs of adult learners.
This position plays a pivotal role in identifying, recruiting, and enrolling qualified students into our adult degree and graduate degree programs. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of prospective students, develop relationships with educational institutions, and work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure a seamless enrollment experience.
The Adult Degree Program Recruiter will work closely with the Vice President of Enrollment Management and a team of dedicated professionals to create a student-centered recruitment approach. This role requires a creative and enthusiastic individual who can foster relationships, effectively communicate the benefits of Wilberforce University’s programs, and drive enrollment growth.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Identify and recruit potential students for Wilberforce’s adult degree and graduate programs, including the RISE program. Develop and maintain relationships with community colleges, school districts, teacher education projects, and universities in Ohio and surrounding states. Coordinate and participate in recruitment events such as college fairs, information sessions, and community outreach activities. Communicate with prospective students via phone, email, and in-person meetings to provide information about program offerings and answer questions. Assist students through the application and enrollment process, ensuring clarity about program features and benefits. Collaborate with Enrollment Services (Financial Aid, Advising, and Student Success) and the Graduate School to support student enrollment and retention efforts. Track recruitment metrics, monitor progress, and report outcomes to management. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in adult learner recruitment.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite; experience with CRM systems is a plus.
