Essential Functions of the position are detailed below and include any physical requirements checked below:1. Plans and implements English as a Second Language and Citizenship classes, as well as supportive programming including literacy, tutoring, computer basics instruction, and other pertinent educational and career-training programming for adults. May be required to work evenings and weekends. Must be fluent in English and Spanish to provide language interpretation for clients with limited English proficiency. 2. Provides students with support in a comfortable, non-threatening learning environment. Prepares thematic lessons on applicable topics using a variety of teaching strategies. Identifies and incorporates appropriate technologies into program curricula.3. Completes registration and assessment of all students. Ensures timely and accurate collection of student data (survey, attendance and pre- and post-testing, etc.). Conducts outreach activities including but not limited to; creating flyers and promotional materials. 4. Regularly contributes relevant program content to the organization's social media accounts and projects. This includes but not limited to: information about programming, opportunities for program participants, news and research about relevant topics, and client testimonials.5. Responsible for recruiting and building relationships with potential participants. Maintains positive relationships with community partners and instructors, ensuring effective delivery of programming.6. Recruits and coordinates volunteers to ensure effective program delivery, including volunteer training, supervision, mentoring and support.7. Prepares clear, concise reports and submits reports in a timely manner. Ensures compliance with organizational policies and program related grant requirements.8. Ensures achievement of program performance measures. Monitors the achievement of programs' goals and objectives, evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of programs and implements best practices. Monitors and incorporates best practices in adult education and workforce development methodologies into program framework. PLEASE NOTE:* Essential functions include all other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Kneel and move from sitting, bending, kneeling or standing multiple times a day.Push and pull objects up to 20 pounds.Climb up and down up to 2 flights of stairs at a time.Lift up to 20 pounds. Additional Requirements: Aptitude for working in a culturally diverse environment and possess the ability to interact with multiple stakeholders in a respectful and meaningful manner.
