Position Title Adult Education Facilitator Ladders to Licensure Department Wrkfc PartAdult Ed amp Literacy Position Category TemporaryPart time About CCRI Job Summary Adult Education AE Facilitators scaffold students to become independent learners and to transition from tutorial support as they enter CCRI pathways The CCRI Ladders to Licensure facilitator provides foundational academic and digital literacy skill instruction in a partnership with employers to support incumbent healthcare workers pursuing nursing qualifications Duties and Responsibilities Integrated Education and Training IET Facilitator for Ladders to Licensure 15 hrswk Provides foundational academic and digital literacy skill instruction supporting students preparing for entry into nursing program in person and online DIRECT INSTRUCTION 9 hours week Facilitate classes learning and practicing math and literacy skills that integrate real world applications including health care foundations amp digital literacy skill development Use best practice approaches to facilitation such as Evidence Based Reading Instruction Teaching the Skills that Matter CALM math amp Northstar curricula Determine students level of proficiency and adjust activities accordingly to meet the needs of English Language Learner Adult Basic Education and Adult Secondary Education students Explicitly define model and support skills and attitudes necessary for lifelong learning and facilitate self directed learning enabling students to connect learning to their lives CLASS PREP PROGRAM SUPPORT 6 hours week Collaborate with Ladders to Licensure team staff to deliver credit and non credit programs integrating workforce training foundational academics amp digital literacy skills Document student progress and conduct small group CASAS pre and post testing digital Collaborate with Adult Education team to evaluate and generate educational options for students Support students to articulate education and training goals using current and relevant vocational information Participate in adult education related professional development amp training Other duties as assigned Technology Use Google and other digital platforms to work with students and with Bridge team Model and facilitate effective use of current and emerging digital tools to locate analyze evaluate and use information resources to support research and learning Other Responsibilities Demonstrate a commitment to the philosophy and mission of a comprehensive community college Work collaboratively in a diverse inclusive and student centered environment with students of various learning styles cultures identities and life experiences Minimum Requirements Bachelors degree required Familiarity with foundational healthcare skills required ex using latin and Greek roots to decode terminology communication in context of HIPAA Experience motivating students in the learning process and understanding of differentiation and universal design required Excellent interpersonal communications required Knowledge and proficiency in Google G Suite andor Microsoft Office is required Three years of experience working with adult students or adults with learning difficulties preferred Experience with adult education curriculum in Evidence Based Reading Instruction Northstar Teaching the Skills that Matter CASAS Competencies preferred Competencies Reports To ABE Coordinator Campus Location Multi Campus Locations Full timePart time Part Time Shift Days and Additional Work Schedule Information Part Time up to 18 hours per week Work Schedule Other Benefits No SalaryHourly Rate Part Time hourly rate starts at 3713 Additional Salary Information Licenses Tools and Equipment Environmental Conditions Desired Start Date Position End Date if temporary or grant
