The rank will be determined based on the chosen candidate’s qualifications. The successful applicant will be part of a busy service that cares for patients within an outstanding academic Orthopaedic Department. Minimum requirements include completion of a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery and a one-year advanced fellowship training in operative reconstruction plus board certification or board eligibility. Interest and experience in developing an academic practice and performing clinical outcomes research and/or basic science research is expected. Applicants should have a sincere desire to develop and mentor others to develop focused clinical, research and educational programs in musculoskeletal disorders, which will include publishing in peer-reviewed journals and presenting at national meetings. Overall, candidates need to have demonstrated an exceptional academic interest and a clear track record of excellence in all aspects of orthopaedics, including clinical care, education, and clinical or basic science research. The ideal candidate should have a substantial academic track record and an established history of scientific contribution including Journal review/editorship, and organization of multicenter trials.
