OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS

Saint Joseph Medical Group has an excellent full-time employment opportunity for an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our Surgical Services team at Saint Joseph Mishawaka Medical Center located in Mishawaka, Indiana.

APP responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Manages the care of assigned patients in the hospital and surgical office setting(s).Establishes an effective relationship with the interdisciplinary team and the collaborating physician to render quality care.Advocates for patients, families, co-workers and the Advanced Practice Practitioner profession.Provides assistance in surgical procedures.Participates in surgical practice call rotation.

Requirements for this opportunity include:

Graduate of an accredited PA/NP program.Current Physician Assistant licensure or Nurse Practitioner certification in the state of Indiana.DEA certification.Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare professionals (BLS) certification.Strong clinical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-focused care.Two years of experience in acute, primary, or specialty care management or a closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) for PAs or the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) for NPs.One year experience as surgical first assist.RNFA, highly preferred (for NPs)
