Advance Reconciliation Analyst (On-site)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Advance Reconciliation Analyst will be responsible for carrying out all investor related activities, communicating directly with external business partners, and providing key oversight for assigned investor portfolios. Duties will include performing complex analysis and reporting on sensitive financial data while executing numerous time bound operational tasks (daily and monthly) within a heavily regulated environment. Seeking a candidate adept at prioritizing and executing tasks required for their assigned portfolios and work to develop internal processes to maximize operational efficiencies. In addition, strong ability to identify areas of opportunity with the desire to act. Critical to one’s success in this position will be the development, control, delivery, and accuracy of complex financial data to investors, management, and regulators. Candidate will also be responsible for assisting in the reduction of the company’s balance sheet. The candidate must also maintain accurate and up- to-date policies and procedures. This role requires a self-motivated individual that can run multiple initiatives with sensitivity to deadlines.

DESCRIPTION

Duties and Responsibilities

Analyze and interpret contracts to identify obligations, risk, and potential faults, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions while mitigating liabilities.Monitor Recovery progress, maintain accurate records, and generate detailed reports to track performance metrics and support decision-making processes.Work to identify internal gaps and operational challenges; makes recommendations and collaborate with other internal teams and senior management on improvement in the overall servicing operation.Ability to monitor and manage the day-to-day operations of a business, ensuring efficiency, compliance with regulations, and adherence to established procedures by analyzing data, identifying potential issues, and implementing corrective actions across various operational areas.Complete multiple, concurrent, large-scale projects involving Senior Vice Presidents from multiple divisions.Cultivate and sustain relationships with investors and counterparties to ensure maximum risk elimination for the organization.Assist in the development of operational and risk reports detailing financial metrics to help management make proactive decisions.Oversee operations within several areas of the organization including Disbursements, Foreclosure, Document Administration, Property preservation. Act as a primary contact to research and resolve corporate advance-related matters and directly engaging and resolving client’s questions.Oversee and execute corporate advance reconciliations, ensuring completion in compliance with applicable policies and guidelines.Design new and improve upon existing Corporate Advance workflows documenting interactions with Loss Analysis, Cash, and other business units.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelors in Finance or related.2-4 years’ Operational Controls or related experience with a mortgage servicer.Strong understanding of Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac servicing guidelines.Customer service, team and goal oriented with a positive attitude toward work and others.Customer service, team and goal oriented with a positive attitude toward work and others.

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

Proficient in Microsoft Office SuiteDemonstrates strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of management and employees using proven customer service skills.Ability to multi-task, be detail oriented, and independently prioritizes competing tasks.Able to work in both an independent capacity as well as in a team environment.
