Job Title: Advanced Application Development Engineer – Beauty & Personal Care Summary:Responsible for technical support, new application development and technical marketing directed at the Beauty & Personal Care market to drive business growth. Responsibilities Include: 1. Support to Marketing, Sales, and Technology + Work closely with marketing, sales, technology and the Supporting functions to identify new business opportunities to drive growth for BPC business. + Active participation in the calls and meetings, providing expert feedback on Momentive colleagues requests. + Create and share the information internally, new presentations, marketing concepts, products promotional ideas as well as lab work, finding new benefits and performance of Momentive or competitive products. + Provide expert support to commercial team members searching for the information to respond customers’ issues. + Join global ADEs workshops focusing on formulations development education, discussion on customers’ issues, raw materials promotion ideas creation and etc. 2. Laboratory work and Formulations development + Develop prototype formulations which address market and customer needs. Support new product launches with prototype formulations which showcase the performance of the new product. + Good understanding of competitive technologies, ability to propose alternatives to existing competitive grades. + Create the instructions/guidelines with the response on main customers’ technical questions and issues. + Maintain and promote a safe laboratory environment in accordance with applicable quality standards. 3. Customers and Distributors support + Provide expert customer support related to the use and claim substantiation of new and existing products. Clear understanding of Products in Development benefits and proposed applications. + Arrange regular trainings for customers, new employees, distributors and agents. + Create promotional literature and other tools (flyers/new presentations/videos) to support distribution teams. 4. Pro-active marketing activities + Be an active participant of exhibitions/seminars/other events. + Coordinate and support seminars in the regions. + Support samples preparations and organization of the marketing events in the regions. + Good understanding of Market trends and the ability to use this knowledge while talking with external and internal customers. Trends presentation creation together with Marketing managers. Qualifications: The following are required for the role + Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously and work in a cross-functional team environment with strong customer focus. + Demonstrated skill in formulation of Personal Care products focusing on Sun and Color cosmetics. Familiarity with the use and application of common cosmetics raw materials. + Ability to independently perform or coordinate any required evaluation, interpret results, and draw conclusions for review with scientists and engineers. + Able to effectively communicate results clearly and precisely and document conclusions and recommendations including authorship of formal reports. + Excellent oral and written communication skills. + Self-motivated individual with high level of creativity, technical curiosity, and strong team spirit. + 5+ years working experience in Personal Care formulation development or technical service experience. + Bachelor’s degree holder subjects in Cosmetics, Chemical, Biochemical, etc. + Fluent in English both in written and spoken. + Willingness to travel, join t-con with folks around the world.
