Advanced Systems Engineer
As an Advanced Systems Engineer within our Integrated Flight Deck Systems (IFS) group, you will join a team that designs, develops and integrates sophisticated Avionics systems. Your work will directly contribute to the advancement and implementation of cutting-edge Avionics technology, as we are developing the Next-Generation of an Integrated Modular Avionics System that provides full cockpit integration.
Key ResponsibilitiesYou will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration and optimization of Avionics systems, including FMS, Flight Controls, Navigation, Primary Flight displays, Communication systems etc.
Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of next-generation Integrated Avionics SystemsAircraft Level Avionics systems design, integration, and test.System engineering and integration support to multiple Avionics products including Flight Management Systems (FMS), Communication Management Function (CMF), Central Maintenance Function (CMCF), and Aircraft Condition Monitoring Systems (ACMS), and other Federated Avionics Systems (Multi Mode Radio, Earth Reference System, etc.)Systems validation and test of new Avionics functionality on our sophisticated dynamic aircraft simulation and test facilities (Integrated Test Benches).Perform integration of our Avionics systems into Integrated Test Benches, including validation of Avionics interfaces with the Aircraft Simulation, Hardware Platform, and other Avionics systems, through standard protocols such as A429, A664, A661, etc.Interact with Honeywell customers and program stakeholders, some project oversight and coordinationU.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTSDue to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

YOU MUST HAVEBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics4+ years of Systems, Avionics, Software and/or Aerospace engineering experienceWE VALUEKnowledge of Systems Development lifecycle Experience supporting systems integration projects is of value. Experience in Avionics, Flight Controls, Flight Management, cockpit displays, communication or related aircraft systems is of value.Knowledge/Interest in Aircraft Systems and the Aircraft operating environmentAbility to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment Ability to adapt dictated by project changesPassion for innovation and continuous learningIndividuals that quickly analyze, incorporate, and apply new information and concepts.THE BUSINESS UNIT
