Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader to oversee a diverse team of scientists and engineers (first and second-level reports) focused on developing cutting-edge methods for characterizing our innovative R&D products and processes. The successful candidate is also responsible for guiding a high-performing team in addressing and resolving complex scientific problems with agility and precision. This role involves leading a group of skilled professionals in the rapid identification and analysis of root causes for technical issues, ensuring that solutions are developed and implemented efficiently, ensuring project alignment with company objectives, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure team delivery of new and improved metrology (analytical characterization techniques) for R&D projects.Act as the primary point of contact for customers facing technical challenges; effectively manage customer expectations through clear communication and regular updates, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.Rapid Root Cause Analysis and hypothesis-based problem solving: Implement, oversee and train personnel processes for swift identification of underlying issues impacting products or services, utilizing advanced analytical techniques and industry best practices.Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of scientists and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and teamwork. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.Identify training needs within the team and oversee professional development initiatives to enhance team skills and competencies.Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, quality, and manufacturing teams, to ensure that resolutions align with company goals and customer needs.This role is essential for maintaining excellence in service delivery and ensuring the satisfaction of both internal and external customers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in scientific problem-solving and exceptional leadership skills.Qualifications:
Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, or a related field.
