Advanced Electrical Engineer
**SUMMARY OF POSITION:** Designs, tests, and oversees installation and maintenance of electrical distribution equipment used in a large-scale manufacturing facility. May use computer-assisted engineering and design software to perform assignments. Applies principles and techniques of electrical engineering to accomplish goals. Responsible for the overall condition and reliability of plant electrical systems to ensure safe and continuous operation. Manages electrical maintenance and capital projects as needed. **MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Electrical design consistent with NEC, NFPA, PIP and OSHA standards, project engineering to support capital improvement program, lead troubleshooting efforts to correct problems in the system and resolve all electrical equipment reliability issues and malfunctions. + Coordinate and plan plant electrical shutdowns for both minor and major plant outages. Provide consultations on matters relating to safety, reliability, and the selection of equipment for end-of-life replacement. This will involve working with the following equipment types: + Voltage distribution networks which include medium and low voltage distribution systems (34.5KV, 13.8KV, 4160V and 480 Volts)Substations, transformers, and switchgear + 4160V motor starters and protective relays + Emergency generators, motors, UPS systems and batteries + Provide engineering support for instrumentation including design, specifying, and maintaining + Lead in Root Cause Failure Analysis of electrical, power and instrumented systems. + Lead programs for regulatory compliance of electrical & instrumentation systems. + Responsible for managing and/or providing support for capital & maintenance projects involving electrical, power and instrumentation. + Responsible for maintaining, developing and implementing reliability programs for electrical, power and instrumentation systems + Provide technical support and training to I&E Technicians where applicable + Follow the Management of Change (MOC) process for managing changes. + Provide electrical and instrument support to Automation Engineers **KEY SKILLS** + Strong commitment to on and off the job safety + Self-motivated, highly skilled, and a team player + Results oriented with continuous improvement mindset + Focus on improving utilities cost position + Possess excellent communication skills + In depth knowledge of electrical power distribution systems from 35KV to 480V + Ability to help develop and improve skillset of electrical craftsmen + Ability to work nights and Turnarounds as needed **U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS** Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S. In addition to a competitive salary, leading-edge work, and developing solutions side-by-side with dedicated experts in their fields, Honeywell employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.
