As an Advanced Electrical Engineer - EMC, here at Honeywell, you will play a key role in leading the design and development of complex electrical systems and components. You will provide technical expertise and guidance to cross-functional teams, ensuring the successful execution of projects. You will also be responsible for conducting feasibility studies, analyzing technical requirements, and implementing electrical engineering strategies and best practices.
\nYou will report directly to our Senior Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Mississauga, Ontario location on a hybrid work schedule.

\nKey responsibilities:
\nIn this visible, design and developing technical role, you will be responsible for the following:
\n\nDesign and implement EMC solutions for products to meet regulatory requirements and customer specifications, including design for High Intensity Radiated Fiels (HIRF), Lightning and ESD.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute EMC design plans and EMC Design best practices in all aspects of the product design (mechanical, printed board assembly layout and routing, interconnect, signal integrity)\nPerform EMC analysis to inform the electrical and mechanical design to ensure successful completion of the EMC requirement verification and to identify and resolve issues as needed.\nProvide technical expertise and guidance to resolve EMC-related problems.\nEnsure compliance with EMC standards and regulations.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance EMC design processes and efficiency\nThis position may require occasional business-related travel within Canada or globally.\n\nThe Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP clearance.
You must have:
\n\nBachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant field of study\nMinimum of 4 years experience in EMC-related field\n\nWe value:
\n\nMaster's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.\nStrong understanding of electromagnetic theory and principles\nExperience with EMC design in aerospace or defense industries and familiarity with EMC standards e.g. DO-160, MIL-STD-461, etc.\nExperience in EMC simulation and modeling tools (examples include use of LTspice, Mathcad, ANSYS, EMA3D)\nExcellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.\nEffective communication and interpersonal skills and ability to clearly and concisely convey subtle or complex messages to a variety of audiences, both written and verbal.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\n\n
