Develop firmware for a variety of embedded products. You will create project and technical reports as required and help define product architecture as needed. You will participate in schematic/layout review process and test and evaluate prototypes from initial engineering samples to mass production. You will help maintain firmware servers and develop tools for internal use, including scripts and basic hardware interfaces. Aid in the design and development of equipment and systems, and redesign of existing systems to fulfill the needs of Honeywell's customers.
Key ResponsibilitiesMain\nresponsibility for this position is to test embedded software for Building Management\nsystems comprised of controllers and peripheral devices requiring expertise in\nvarious technologies like Embedded C, networking, RTOS concepts.Specific Tasks Include:
Test embedded firmware for unitary and plant controllers with adherence to cybersecurity. Being part of Embedded firmware development team, this role is to improve the quality of the firmware by identifying gaps in the requirements and development.Qualify the builds generated during the development.Automate tests and create ease of maintainability.Effort estimation and contribution to program increment planning.Plan and execute test activities to support the needs of multiple programs.YOU MUST HAVEBachelors or Masters degree in engineering with specialization in electronics or computer science.Scaled Agile based product development with globally distributed teams. Good experience in embedded software development or testing.Knowledge of hardware and networking concepts (like SPI, I2C, UART, RS232, RS485, USB, Ethernet, TCP/IP, Bacnet).Understanding of open-source components, CI&CD pipeline.Work experience to write functional test cases and understanding of test automation Understanding of dev tool chains like GitHub, Jira, BitBucket, Build servers, SonarQube, etc..Good communication, problem solving & presentation skills.Fluent in spoken and written English.Ability to travel worldwide ca. 20%.WE VALUEExposure to software product development life cycle and Agile methodologies would be preferred.Industry standard Tools chain for development - Jira, Visual Studio, Bamboo, Artifactory, etc. Knowledge of operating system (Linux, FreeRTOS, QNX etc), Microcontrollers, Memory Handling (Like EEPROM R/W, FLASH R/W, SD Card)Working experience in product portfolio related to Building Automation.Scaled Agile SAFE CertificationUnderstanding of cloud technologies and IoT Experience on requirement-management, Experience on cross site development.Additional InformationJOB ID: HRD255145Category: EngineeringLocation: Devarabisanahalli Village, KR Varturhobli,,East Taluk - Phase I,Bangalore,KARNATAKA,560103,IndiaExemptEarly Career (IT&SALES)
