**This role in summary**
Whirlpool is currently seeking qualified candidates for an Advanced Experience Designer opening to join our Global Design organization. This is onsite at our Design, MI location.

**Your responsibilities will include**
+ Create compelling and innovative user experiences for connected and future appliances on mobile and product platforms.
+ Develop prototype concepts for the next big innovation in consumer appliance interactions.
+ Develop and maintain experience blueprints and UX architecture to guide user experience design and development, mapping out the entire user journey, including touchpoints and interactions.
+ Champion user-centered design principles and ensure that the user’s perspective is central to all design and development processes.
+ Work closely with engineering, marketing, and product management teams to align design strategies with business goals and technical constraints.
+ Structure and facilitate research studies and ethnography to deeply understand user needs, behaviors, and experiences.
+ Lead and facilitate innovation workshops and brainstorming sessions to generate new ideas and solutions.
+ Mentor junior designers and contribute to the professional growth and development of the design team.
+ Ensure that all designs comply with accessibility standards and best practices to create inclusive experiences for all users.
+ Stay abreast of the latest trends, tools, and technologies in design and user experience, and continuously seek opportunities for professional development.
+ Collaborate with all facets of the design organization, across brands, categories, and regions, to drive a consistent connected vision throughout the company.

**Minimum requirements**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology or Engineering.
+ 2+ years of UX Design experience in the Consumer Electronics, Appliance or Automotive industry
**Preferred skills and experiences**
+ An understanding of the human-centered design process.
+ Ability to lead and ideate products from scratch and improve. features, all with a user-centered design process.
+ Skills in communicating and influencing product design strategy.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and familiarity with technical constraints and limitations as they apply to designing for multiple platforms and modalities.RSRWH
