Advanced Hardware Engingeer
As a Sr. Advanced Hardware Engineer at Honeywell, your expertise in advanced hardware design and development will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team performance and efficiency. You will have the opportunity to contribute to developing innovative solutions by leveraging your strong knowledge of advanced hardware design principles and methodologies. Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools will enable you to effectively oversee the design process and ensure the delivery of reliable and high-performance hardware. Your strong leadership and communication skills will enable you to effectively motivate and inspire your team members, driving them toward achieving project goals and objectives. You will report to the Sr. Engineering Manager of the Military Avionics COE and be responsible for driving execution on the existing military platforms as well as engaged with the introduction and adoption of new technologies in support of Honeywell 360 Display, Militarized Anthem flight decks and unmanned operations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead and manage a team of advanced hardware engineers to develop and deliver high-quality products • Provide technical guidance and support to team members • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team performance and efficiency, Create product-build documentation and Coach engineering technicians and junior engineers U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization YOU MUST HAVE • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field • 5+ years of experience in advanced hardware design and development • Strong knowledge of advanced hardware design principles and methodologies • Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools • Experience with hardware testing and validation • Excellent leadership and communication skills WE VALUE • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field • Experience with high-speed digital and analog circuit design • Knowledge of microcontroller-based designs and display products • Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices • Proven track record of successful advanced hardware design projects Honeywell is an equal opportunity employer.
