Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for all activities related to flight test definition, planning, and executionCollaborate with Systems, Controls, and other Engineering teams to drive flight test mission, readiness review, and safety planningResponsible for Flight Ops planning and crew coordination, including pre- and post-flight briefing meetingsMaintain open and close communication with FTO team, GE Aerospace internal and external customersExecute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirementsProvide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned projectProvide timely communications on significant issues or developmentsParticipate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issuesParticipate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviewsAssure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and proceduresDevelop and implement training modules as necessaryCoach less experienced team membersRequired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or collegeAt least 6 additional years of experience in a flight test related engineering positionAbility and willingness to work flexible and off-shift hours (including 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, nights, weekends, and holidays) when business needs dictate.Ability and willingness to travel to and support operations at offsite locations when business needs dictate.Ability and willingness to fly aboard an experimental aircraft including participation in development flight tests.Able to obtain and maintain FAA Class-3 medical certificate or equivalent.Desired Characteristics

The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
