GENERAL PURPOSE

The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, in a developing capacity and under direct supervision, will design, implement, test, and support AGVs-Automated Guided Vehicles, AMRs-Autonomous Mobile Robotics, and Advanced Storage and Retrieval Solutions.You'll work in a highly agile team to define, develop, and automate mobility capabilities/ strategies and implement corresponding deliverables.Emphasis will be placed on team participation, ability to plan, and achieving results on assigned projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.Electrical Engineering knowledge/background is preferred.1-3 years of professional specialty/advanced manufacturing engineering experience is preferred.Open to recent engineering graduates with relevant internships or co-ops engineering experience in advanced manufacturing or robotics automation.Work or Project experience involving AGVs or AMRs systems is a strong plus.Proficient in AutoCAD 2D / and 3D design is a strong plus.Project management experience is essential for some assignments.Knowledgeable in Lean Manufacturing principles and applications.Must be able to assess process concepts and determine where continuous improvement opportunities exist.Must be able to communicate effectively with people at various levels, including production, engineering, and management.Ability to travel domestically and Internationally.  

Additional Skills and Abilities*

Design system layouts and determine operational requirements to generate a detailed system flow.Perform all required calculations to validate system throughput and workability.Function as a key engineering leader on a wide variety of material-handling solutions projects.Management of all project phases such as opportunity evaluation, research of solutions, concept design, proof of concept, specification development through RFQs, integration supplier selection, technical reviews, and solution qualification.Ability to incorporate mechanical, electrical, and programming elements of the integration. Support full project lifecycle, from inception to completion.Seeks and receives mentoring from senior-level and engineering leadership.Seeks approval of budget owner using an appropriate request process.Works under direct supervision; work is reviewed after completion to evaluate the soundness of judgments involved.Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
