Roles and Responsibilities
Identify, develop project plans and execute on strategic projectsCollaborate and drive on time delivery for identified projectsLeverage system and technical knowledge to drive high impact results to the businessDeveloping specialized knowledge in their discipline; Serves as best practice/quality resource; Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area; Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensures delivery within area of responsibilityHas in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of other functions and interfacesUses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering; Takes new perspective on existing solutions; Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations; Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisionsActs as a resource for colleagues with less experience; Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus; Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within fieldCo-sponsor and technical support for manufacturing retrofit projectsSupport site CAPEX strategy and deploymentManufacturing system design with a lean mindsetIn-depth knowledge of lean concepts and practices with the factory (yamazumi, level loading, TAKT, flow, 5S)Knowledge of how tooling, moving lines, and processes are impacted by NPI. Guides product development with this understandingKey decision maker on make vs. buy on new productsExperience with tooling/infrastructure capability analysis for large manufacturing operationsRequired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university (or a high school diploma/GED and at least 4 years of manufacturing or operations experience)Minimum 5 years of manufacturing engineering experienceDesired Characteristics
