If you are an experienced ADVANCED MANUFACTURING ENGINEER looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Rushville Indimake-to-orderanna Plant, this position is focused primarily on project support in a high mix / low volume, make to order manufacturing environment. This position will be responsible for working with the Plant team and the various manufacturing plants to design, plan and deliver world class manufacturing solutions. This position will work collaboratively with Product Planning, Engineering and Operations to develop and launch products that are crafted for both performance and manufacturability.

As An Advanced Manufacturing Engineer You Will:

Design and improve processes to be safer for employees.Conceptualize & develop process improvements and cost reductionsApply automation and lean manufacturing principles to reduce cycle time and waste eliminationRead and understand mechanical drawings, 2D & 3D as well as electrical and hydraulic drawingsSupport all control functions including PLC, HMI and all electrical componentsSupport Automation which includes robotics, servo and laser etch/cutting processesSupport and maintain PED, UL, and CE certificationLead projects from concept and design through capital appropriation requests to qualification within project schedule and budgetSelf-initiate corrective actions for quality concerns based on effective problem-solving skills and develop temporary and permanent solutions to manufacturing issuesDevelop documentation for use by operators and maintenance technicians to perform their duties and assist them in troubleshootingBackground in Mechanical Engineering projects a plus.Align with all required safety and regulatory requirementsBe Proficient in both verbal and digital literacy to optimally communicate to plant personnel, Engineering, Project Planning and external suppliers:You will support manufacturing processes to achieve safety, quality, productivity and cost objectives. You will support projects by owning the automation and controls side of the project or action items.

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

 Bachelor Degree in Electronic, Electrical or  Mechanical Eng.Experience with PLC (Allen Bradley).3-4 years of relevant experience.Strong Controls background.This position will involve travel (15% to 30%) to provide support to other Operations as vital.get along with all employees at all levels of the organization.

Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:

3 to 5 Years of related experience or a combination of education and experienceSolid understanding of Fanuc Robotics controlsProficient with 3D CAD software (NX, SolidWorks)Proficient in performing manufacturing PFMEA 


 

 Work Schedule:

This role is an onsite position with the typical 8-hour, first shift to support manufacturing.  If evenings or weekends are needed to support projects comp time off is allowed.

About Our Location 

Our 2-building campus offers a safe and clean work environment with a “family” atmosphere. We manufacture new semi-hermetic compressors and take the worn-out, failed compressors out of the field and remanufacture them to “like new” status, as well as manufacture crank shafts. Approximately 200 employees work in Rushville and are an integral part of our organization. A 2-building campus allows for learning and growth opportunities for all our team.
