Danfoss Turbocor is a rapidly expanding global industry leader in the oil-free compressor market. We are looking to expand our Global Industrial Project Team to include a position that will support our manufacturing testing and automation strategies. The role will support our factories in the US, Europe, and China.
The AME will lead global manufacturing projects for new testing and automation processes. This role will work with key stakeholders to benchmark and identify potential manufacturers/vendor partners. This role will drive best in class performance, process and cost optimization with value-added technology capabilities across the business that provides measurable outcomes. In addition, is expected to have a deep sense of ownership, ability to identify process improvement opportunities, drive positive changes across the organization. This individual should further be able to demonstrate an excellent ability to communicate and lead/influence teams that do not directly report to this role.
Job ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions, Key Tasks, & Responsibilities: (include the following, other duties may be assigned)
o Develops testing solutions based on FMEA analyses Leads testing strategy for all manufacturing sites globally.
o Manages project execution from inception to completion, with a focus on sustainable and reliable manufacturing, equipment optimization and technology enhancements.

o Understands and complies with quality policy, procedures and instructions to ensure product quality, customer satisfaction, attainment of business goals and environmental well-being.Supports new initiatives including, but not be limited to; new equipment and technology, human capital requirements, floor space and facility layouts, other key projects as needed.
o Builds personal competencies in product knowledge of our complete product line.
o Acts as the liaison between key departments per project requirements: QA/regulatory, product development and manufacturing. Effectively utilizing team leadership and facilitation skills to drive business outcomes.
o Develops competencies to be global subject matter expert in manufacturing testing applications.
o Preparing cost/benefit analysis for proposed initiatives to drive business decisions; Managing capital budget related to technology upgrades and new implementations.
o Collaborates with engineering and product development on key business goals and strategy; Ensuring necessary support is obtained from other functions in order to meet the project objectives and/or milestones.
o Focuses on reduction of cost and speed to market, quality, and standardization of best practices; Assisting in future growth due diligence and business integration needs.
o Develops talent and a culture of innovation, collaboration and engagement. Identifies and cultivates essential skills and attributes to maximize individual contribution and engagement.
o Develops and maintains technology solutions and processes that will enable organization to scale, innovate, improve customer and staff experience, and operate efficiently and effectively.

Required Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience
• Minimum of a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from a four-year college or university in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Robotic, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
• MBA or master’s degree in engineering or related technical or scientific field preferred.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing testing applications
• Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical
systems.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications and schematics.
• Are able to travel up to 30-40% internationally.
• Testing and measurement techniques
Preferred Qualifications: (Education, Skills, Experience, and/or Languages that are nice to have but not required):
o Robotics and Industry 4.0 experience.
o Advanced computer skills in CAD and AutoCAD.
o CNC Machining experience.
o Lean Manufacturing (Six Sigma) knowledge.
o Safety and Ergonomic principles and regulations knowledge.
o Strong interpersonal skills to influence decision making with or without authority, facilitate groups with diverse perspectives, across geographies, and bring teams to agreement. Strong self-leadership demonstrating self-awareness, initiative and humility.
o Results-driven leader who is fearless about execution, can champion a vision and roadmap, and is not afraid to dig into the details with the front-line team.
