Schedule: 2-2-3 schedule, with additional overtime based on production needs, open hours include:

Position DetailsMaintain an effective operation of the Alvey machine in such a way to minimize shutdown and/or disruption of the packaging process, which includes:- Appropriate set up for the product run.- Proper attention to pallet, slipsheet and film dispensers.- Inspection of the machine (troubleshooting) for irregularities while in operation.- Making any necessary adjustments/corrections to compensate for problems in process.

Watch for open boxes and damaged product, notifying supervision of any irregularities.

Responsible for fixing mix pallets in a timely manner or before shift end.

Operation of a stand-up forklift to unload trailers and keep pallet dispensers full.

Clean and maintain the Alvey machines and surrounding area daily.

Assure final palletized product quality meets Winland Foods specifications.

Load slip sheets into dispensers.

Load tier sheets into Alvey dispenser

Help keep track of inventory such as tier sheets, slip sheets, wrapper film when needed.

Supervision:Warehouse SupervisorQualifications/Education/Experience/Skills

3-5 years of experience with a Standup lift.Certification for operating a forklift.Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Alvey machine experience is preferredMechanical ability to the extent of analyzing basic troubleshooting of equipment is necessary. Tasks performed, involve work with equipment and processes that require familiarity with formal safety procedures and in following the procedures in order to maintain the safety procedures and in following the procedures in order to maintain the safety of the work environment. Strong communication skills are required. The ability to work in confined spaces.Basic math skills are required.Warehouse experience is required.EducationHigh school diploma or GED required.
