Travel: Patient home visits and facility visits (SNF, ALF, etc.) required

The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Hospice Medical Staff Department

The role you’ll contribute:

Plans and delivers competent, compassionate, and cost-effective nursing care. Assesses and evaluates it post delivery. Provides physical and psychological support to patients and their families. Complies with organizational policies, procedures and standards .

The value you’ll bring to the team:

Provides medical care for hospice patients. Utilizes assessment, intervention and teaching to maximize patient comfort and to enhance the quality of life to the patient/family unit.

Evaluates the health status of selected patients, orders treatment plans and provides education to patients and their families under the supervision of a licensed physician.

Performs clinical evaluations and reviews diagnostic studies of patients under the supervision of a licensed physician.

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

Master’s Degree in Nursing with Nurse Practitioner designation is required.

A minimum of 3 years of experience in medical nursing, hospice and/or critical care experience and a minimum of 2 years experience as an APRN is required. Experience with symptom and pain management is preferred.

Clear/Active Florida APRN license required. Basic Life Support certification required. Certified Hospice and Palliative Nursing Certification is preferred.

APRN-BC - Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Board Certified required

BCLS - Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association required

DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State in good standing with a safe driving record and a reliable vehicle required

Maintain valid personal automobile insurance required
