Overlook Medical Center, one of Atlantic Health System's hospitals, is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Clinician who will  work alongside department psychiatrists and facilitate advanced specialty nursing services. 

 

 

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: 

Facilitates new patient consultation and health history review  Performs psychiatric examinations and screenings of patients  Orders and administers tests including bloodwork as applicable Reviews and interprets test results  Diagnoses psychiatric related problems  Operates medical equipment  Recommends further treatment options or future appointments if needed  Provides referrals to other psychiatric practitioners or programming when necessary  Provides after-care/ongoing care information and resources to patients and their families  Ensures patient records are kept up to date  Consults with other psychiatric healthcare professionals as needed  Delivers quality, physician-level care while complying with company policies, safety regulations, and productivity

    COMPETENCIES:  Strong knowledge base of HIPAA and OSHA required  Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written  Patient, compassionate nature  Ability to operate as part of a multi-disciplinary team Proficiency in medical instruments and equipment  Must be familiar with the EHR medical charting system  Proficiency in computer-based data management programs and information systems   Prescriptive authorization required  Disease prevention knowledge required
