The Section of Hematology/Oncology at Boston University School of Medicine/Boston Medical Center is seeking an advanced practice provider to support its expanding program in sickle cell disease and red blood cell disorders. The program serves patients with sickle cell disease and other hemoglobinopathies, and provides a range of treatment options including clinical trials and gene therapy. The program includes robust supportive services, including social work, nutrition support, and patient navigation. Boston Medical Center is a 514-bed hospital that serves a diverse patient population from throughout New England and beyond, and is the major teaching hospital for Boston University. Advanced practice providers work closely with physicians in a shared practice model. In addition to providing clinical care, advanced practice practitioners have opportunities to participate in clinical case conferences and teaching conferences. Teaching and mentoring opportunities for NP and PA students from area programs, including the PA program at Boston University, are also available. Advance Practice providers receive faculty appointments in the Section of Hematology and Medical Oncology commensurate with their experience. NP or PA certification is required.
